Description SIGN ON BONUS available The Opportunity: Patient Care Associate - Neurology Unit- Lunder 8 Lunder 8 is seeking a Patient Care Associate (PCA), with Day and Night availability, to provide rotating weekend and holiday coverage. Neurology is a thirty-two-bed adult inpatient neuroscience unit that cares for a diverse patient population, including those with neuro-medical and neurosurgical conditions. Our nursing staff is highly respected for their clinical expertise and compassionate care for patients with neuro-oncology and epilepsy-monitored needs. Only applicants seeking full-time 36-40 hours employment will be strongly considered for this role. What are we looking for? Assisting the healthcare team, the PCA promotes a safe and caring environment for patients under the guidance of an RN. PCA assists patients with daily living needs, monitoring & reading vital signs, drawing blood, and obtaining EKGs. Responds to patient requests in a timely manner, safeguarding patient confidentiality, monitoring patient safety, and always communicating in a respectful manner What do we have to offer? We welcome applicants with equivalent experience in addition to those with a PCA certification. Qualifications Required: Must have recent experience, and/or training, in clinical patient care. Preferred: Licensed, certified, or enrolled student in a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Mental Health Technician, or EMT accredited program, at the time of hire, OR Candidate enrolled in a Nursing, Pre-Med, PA undergraduate program, with at least one semester of patient care rotations completed, at time of hire.
