Job Summary:



The Department of Radiology on the Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking applications for an Education Coordinator. This full-time, University Staff (non-classified) position will provide human resources, finance and operational support to the Department of Radiology Education Program. This includes the recruitment processes, data and record keeping, assisting the program oversight, and executing day-to-day operational needs of the program.

This role may run the Medical Student program. The position requires a detailed understanding of national accreditation regulations (ACGME) and hospital policies, as well as a high degree of initiative and independent judgment.

Key Responsibilities:

Duties Performed at Academic Services Professional

Education Program Administration: 60%



  • Assists with the annual Residency recruitment processes.
  • Fields prospective resident information requests primarily by email and over the phone.
  • Uses OnCall (AMION), the system required by the University of Colorado Hospital for physician on-call scheduling.
  • Keeps the educational website up to date.
  • Oversees, coordinates, and provides support for other Department educational conferences and talks and uploads the resident educational activities to the departmental Education Calendar.
  • Utilizes multiple systems for purchasing, human resources, facilities management, daily operations and other business activities, and maintains expertise in these systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Data and Recordkeeping: 40%



  • Utilizes standard University and department systems for accounting, data processing and other computer systems, as necessary, for financial management and statistical reporting.
  • Coordinates all required electronic recordkeeping and data processes for the Residency, this includes tracking accurate conference attendance.
  • Uses MedHub, the software required by the Graduate Medical Education (GME) office for resident reporting.
  • Data collection and file maintenance of all applicants if not covered by ERAS system and assures documents are retrievable.
  • Utilizes multiple systems for purchasing, human resources, facilities management, daily operations and other business activities, and maintains expertise in these systems.


Additional Duties Performed at the Senior Level:



  • Develops reports for the Department, University and/or external partners in order to meet specific needs, such as: ACGME studies, annual program evaluations, internal reviews, site visits, retreats, audits, etc. Reports are created by pulling applicable data from a variety of university online systems and external sources.
  • Oversees residency billing ensuring that compensation and time collection are accurate.
  • Updates, distributes, and enforces the departmental policies and procedures.
  • Develops and maintains up-to-date informational brochures on education programs.
  • Retrieves and assembles interview results and prepares for the Resident Match process.


Academic Services Principal Professional- in addition to the Senior level duties the principal level duties will include:



  • Subject matter expert on the process of managing ACGME and non ACGME programs.
  • Special projects and assignments to provide analysis on existing processes, develop new processes, gather data for special reports.
  • Management of faculty calendars as needed to coordinate and plan meetings, conferences, and educational lectures.
  • Event coordinator for academic activities.
  • Act as subject matter expert in purchasing, and contract processing in CU MarketPlace, and CU Medicine COR360.

Qualifications:



Minimum Qualifications:

Intermediate Level:



  • A bachelor's degree in education, psychology, business, public administration, health care, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, accounting, finance, library science, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
  • One (1) year of professional experience in higher education or business administrative role(s).


A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Senior Level:



  • A bachelor's degree in education, psychology, business, public administration, health care, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, accounting, finance, library science, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
  • Two (2) years of professional experience in higher education or business administrative role(s).


Principal Level:



  • A bachelor's degree in education, psychology, business, public administration, health care, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, accounting, finance, library science, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
  • Three (3) years of professional experience in higher education or business administrative role(s).


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience working in an academic environment, with an emphasis on the day-to-day management of business and administrative operations.
  • Experience working with GME and UCD software systems.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a business or health related field.
  • Experience coordinating travel and related purchasing and expense reimbursements.
  • Experience providing administrative and technical assistant to faculty and staff within a higher education and/or medical education environment.

Anticipated Pay Range:



The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as:

Intermediate: $48,989-$62,314

Senior: $52,961-$67,367

Principal: $60,905-$77,471

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
