Main Duties & Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY:
To make detailed decisions to ensure the correct
products and quantities are released and flow through manufacturing processes
per schedule. Control and maintain
inventory levels as directed. Perform
data entry for all production related processes.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Competencies:
Firms, schedules, and releases work orders on time
and to ensure an even flow of parts through manufacturing.
Creates works orders and associated documents for
release to production.
Reviews MRP exception messages and takes the
appropriate actions.
Performs data entry of move tickets, work orders,
scrap, etc. for all manufacturing processes.
Provides data for planning and scheduling, and/or
expediting work-in-process to meet customer delivery requirements and the
company business plan.
Prepares daily, weekly, and/or monthly reports as
requested and/or assigned.
Follows up on released jobs as necessary
Coordinates with purchasing and shipping and
receiving to follow-up on any delays in returning and receiving product back
from outside suppliers.
Coordinates with production management and personnel
to ensure schedules are maintained and work orders are clearly understood.
The pay scale for this position ranges from $18.00-$29.86 an hours
Qualifications
OTHER COMPETENCIES:
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret
documents such as work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all
units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense
understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram
form. Ability to deal with problems
involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully,
an individual must be computer literate; have knowledge of manufacturing
software; and be proficient in the use of Spreadsheet software and Word
Processing software.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree
(GED). Two (2) years of college and a
minimum of two (2) years experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment;
or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee
is regularly required to sit; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally
required to stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job
include color vision.
