Position Summary:

Yeshiva University seeks an Alumni Engagement Manager. Reporting to the Director of Alumni Engagement, this role plays a key role in the cultivation of alumni through communication, events, and programming, helping to further lifelong relationships with and amongst Yeshiva University alumni and to develop alumni as donors.

- Assist in planning and managing meaningful alumni engagement experiences, including substantive programs, professional networking events, and reunions, among others.
- Bring in new gifts from 25% of all first-time attendees.
- Own the relationship development of YU upperclassmen in an effort to build the bridge from student to alumnus.
- Create opportunities for socialization and networking between students and young alumni.
- Serve as professional liaison to the YU Young Alumni network, working with the established Young Alumni Council in an effort to expand engagement and foster a culture of giving back to YU philanthropically and through mentorships.
- Manage a portfolio of annual donors in the under $5k category.
- Engage, solicit, and steward these relationships to increase donations in the $500-$5k category.
- Grow the young alumni network on Linkedin from 1083 currently to 1300 by July 2025.
- Data Integrity and Management: working in collaboration with the Operations team to manage alumni data, provide updates, pull reports and lists, and merge accounts.
- Work with our Operations Team and Shevet Glaubach Center to build our database of alumni, increasing the number of records by 10%.
- Drive content of communication with alumni, including but not limited to email communication, social media, Class Notes, ALUMinate website, monthly e-newsletters, and bi-weekly events calendar.
- Manage, collect, and update information for the newsletter and assist in developing content that supports our alumni engagement priorities.
- Work with the athletics department gift officer to build philanthropic opportunities for our alumni through YU athletics.
- Assist with research on out-of-town alumni communities to enhance opportunities to grow alumni engagement.
- Collaborate with our Director of Annual Giving to include alumni in all fundraising efforts including but not limited to 36 hours of giving, phone-athon, etc.

Experience & Educational Background:
|
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3-5 years of experience in a fundraising or programming/events office
- Strong capability in all digital communications, email, and social media campaigns
- Familiarity with social media management
- Yeshiva University degree is strongly preferred

Skills & Competencies:
|
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout, and design skills
- Must be highly proficient in digital platform
- Ability to present concepts verbally
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work at evening events, and on weekends (as needed) at University events
- Design capability or sensibility preferred for digital newsletters and social media
- Able to work efficiently and collegially with other university offices
- Project management experience
- An interest and curiosity about people and a desire to highlight stories in a compelling way for a wider audience
- This person must contribute new ideas and proposals on a regular basis
- A key contact with administrators in Admissions, Athletics, the Deans' offices, Career Services, Event Planning, Marketing and Communications, and Institutional Advancement
- Must be an excellent communicator and diplomatic representative of the University
- Help create a positive work environment and meet and manage deadlines
- Must be able to analyze and solve problems and work independently

Salary Range:

$70,000 - $75,000
