Summary: Responsible for setting up and operating hydraulic transfer presses to produce high quality molded components that meet specifications and requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Sets up and operates hydraulic presses used in silicone molding processes.
  • Prepares inserts to be molded.
  • Anticipates actions related to tooling/fixture requirements (Core Pins).
  • Determines product conformance and performs associated resulting actions.
  • Appropriately marks or discards items with defects such as peeling, short fill, or contamination as applicable.
  • Troubleshoots production problems and communicates with appropriate personnel.
  • Accurately records material used and silicone lot information.
  • Continually analyzes processes to improve quality and productivity.
  • Performs basic Preventive Maintenance activities as necessary.
  • Performs deflashing operations; removes excess silicone material and cleans molded products.
  • Carefully paints specified logos and/or names on parts per customer specifications with silicone ink.
  • Operates the pad printing machine to properly apply silicone ink per customer specifications.
  • Uses a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Uses precision measuring instruments and equipment to determine component conformance to specifications; calculates dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and measuring instruments.
  • Performs other production assignments as necessary.
  • Maintains a professional working relationship and effectively communicates with all employees, managers, vendors, customers and regulatory agencies.
  • Understands and complies with company policies and procedures, regulatory requirements and safety regulations.
  • Regular attendance at work is required.



Qualifications:

  • Requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months related production experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
