Job Description

Join the Brand Experience Digital Experiences team with a mission to create and scale high impact digital experiences for General Mill's Box Tops for Education (BTFE) program. Drive program engagement through advancing the mobile and website experiences and building a digital loyalty program to connect with consumers across the U.S.

As the Business Product Owner, you will own the BTFE digital ecosystem including iOS & Android native apps, website, and admin portal experiences. As part of the digital ecosystem for BTFE, you will manage all 3rd party integrations and preferred vendors relationships. You will be responsible for the end-to-end strategy and roadmap for these digital properties laddering to the brand's overall strategies and goals.

Key Accountabilities

  • Accountable defining the app, site & admin strategy with the Brand team, estab. projections and achieving app/website KPIs.
  • Develop close relationships with key stakeholders to ensure the site capabilities are aligned with business goals.
  • Solicit and integrate feedback from end users on product capabilities and deliverables to ensure capabilities and outputs are delivering intended value.
  • Serves as the "voice of the product" and therefore is the liaison between business and the development teams; translating features into product requirements within the team's backlog and managing, ranking and prioritizing the backlog so that it is reflective of stakeholder requirements and priorities to drive a steady cadence of improvements and new capabilities.
  • Manage the execution of all app and site initiatives from solution through launch and ongoing enhancements.
  • Identifies and manages dependencies and risks across digital ecosystem.
  • Establish performance measures and monitor to ensure value is realized for initiatives, recommending optimizations ongoing, informed by results.
  • Drive recommendations to the brands for expanding the use of existing and new capabilities translating brand strategies into digital solutions.
  • Write technical briefs and requirements for relevant product updates or enhancements.
  • Leverage agile experimentation to learn fast and roll out new capabilities.
  • Responsible for Annual Plans (App/Site), Quarterly & Monthly Reporting, and OKRs.
  • Lead third party integrations withdiscovery, contracts, and techdevelopment, ongoing maintenance and enhancements.
  • Responsible for managing technical budgets.
  • Serve as a mentor to Associate Product Owner for Offer Management and OCR functionality.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in digital product management with a proven track record of successfully launching product solutions and leading a cross-functional development team for native apps (iOS and Android).
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects, priorities, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Experience in writing business/functional requirements.
  • Agile marketing or development process with experience working in Agile/Product teams.
  • Experience conducting current state vs. future state mapping and developing plans for continuous enhancements.
  • Strong main point communication skills and ability to effectively interact with business stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience working in a matrixed/cross-functional organization with partners in marketing, technology, measurement, and legal.
  • Demonstrated willingness and bias to break away from "business as usual," working differently to deliver results.
  • Experience managing third party vendors and implementing third party integrations.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time (only if you are remote, outside of Minneapolis, MN)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in CPG working in digital experiences.
  • Background in loyalty/rewards programs
  • Website product management experience

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. General Mills will not sponsor applicants for a U.S. work visa.
  • International relocation or international remote working arrangements (outside of the US) will not be considered.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $91900.00 - $153300.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
