Department OverviewThe Sr. Account Manager is responsible for sales, building relationships with key business influencers and decision makers, driving targeted campaigns, customer account planning, pipeline development and overall account management for assigned customers in the Southwest Florida (Tampa to Collier County). The Products and Services portfolio includes all of Motorola's Communications, Video and Software technology solutions for government and public safety customers. Job Description

The Sr. Account Manager (AM) will work with the Florida leadership team to drive/develop and implement a comprehensive territory sales plan and build relationships with all key buying influencers covering the full portfolio of Motorola Solutions products and services for Government and Public Safety. The AM will be responsible but not limited to the following:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to influence customer's technology platform decisions and develop preference and loyalty for Motorola Solutions.

  • Proactively develop opportunities encompassing a wide range of products and services.

  • Develop strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers within and outside of public safety. including Sheriff, Fire Chief, Police Chief, CIO/CTO, Administrator/Manager and other officials in order to understand and influence technology and funding priorities.

  • Develop strategies to position long term opportunities for Motorola Solutions.

  • Develop Motorola procurement vehicles for multiple solutions to be leveraged increasing Motorola's presence across an entire customer account.

Specific Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of sales/public safety experience

  • Candidates must have technology sales experience and an understanding of communications, video and software solutions.

  • Experience selling solutions into government organizations is preferred.

  • Experience utilizing strategic account management practices and tools

  • Ability to quickly learn new key characteristics of products/solutions and communicate the value of those solutions to customers.

  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with Key customer executives.

  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices is a plus.

  • Ability to travel 25-50% to customers in both Sarasota and Manatee County Florida
