Job Description: The pharmacy student (intern) assists pharmacists to provide pharmacy services including the evaluation and input of licensed independent practitioner orders/prescriptions, and the technical functions of drug procurement, preparation, and distribution. These and all other duties are completed under the supervision of a pharmacist. Expectation: Become proficient in pharmacy technical functions and the basic pharmacology and utilization of medications.This is a PRN position and will work an average of 8 to 12 hours/week with evening and alternating 12 hr weekend shifts at McKay Dee Hospital. Main responsibilities include collection of pre-op medication histories on weekday evenings and collection of medication histories for admitted patients on weekends. Interns will be trained on the clinical intern shift as they progress through the program. Scope
