Child Care Lead Teacher
Overview The Lead Teacher is responsible for designing, implementing, and supervising age-appropriate curriculum, managing all classroom activities and interactions, supervising assistant teachers, students and volunteers and maintaining a safe and healthy environment. Demonstrates competence defined in Lead Teacher responsibilities in providing age-appropriate care and services to children from the age of birth to 5 years. Responsibilities 1. Leads team planning of curriculum based upon knowledge of child development and observations of children's interests to provide an optimal and safe environment for young children. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Bachelor's or Associates degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education or related field with minimum of 30 quarter or 24 semester hours in Child Development or Early Childhood Education.
