Maintenance Mechanic, Temple, TX Starting Pay: $25.30 plus a $1.00 shift different Shift: Day (1st) 6:00am - 2:00pm or Evening (2nd) shift 2:00pm - 10:00pm (Shift will be determined during the interview) As aMaintenance Mechanic you will be a crucial part of our operations, ensuring that a quality product is available to our customers when they need them. Primary Responsibilities Ability to perform preventative maintenance on, troubleshoot and repair belts, piping, filters, mixers, conveyors, valves, bearings, and mechanical seals. Ability to troubleshoot and proof testing of equipment as necessary to solve problems and pro-actively prevent them. Experience maintaining, repairing and troubleshooting mechanical, and electrical systems to include: pumps, valves, bearings, mechanical drives, electrical circuits, motors, belts, fasteners, pneumatics (including pneumatic control systems), conveyors, actuators, pipe fitting, production and packaging equipment. Ability to install, test, and maintain control devices, pressure sensing units, and flow measuring devices install calibrate, test, troubleshoot, and repair Allen Bradley PLC's; and install, test and maintain process motor control systems. Ability to work from detailed technical documents, blueprints, schematics, etc. Basic welding and fabrication skills. Experience with PLC ladder logic troubleshooting, 480 volt 3 phase, maintenance of power systems through standard instrumentation is preferred. Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance and/or related skilled trades. Basic Computer skills. PLC skills preferred. (Experience with Allen Bradley Panel view systems and Experience working a CMMS preferred; Micro-Main a plus. Understanding of basics of hydraulic theory and its applications; understanding of applicable utility systems; and understanding of plant instrumentation/control systems such as level detection, temperature measurement, mass and magnetic flow meters, etc. Allen Bradley PLC networking equipment desired). Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the day.
