Pricing & Commercial Excellence Director

The Global Pricing and Commercial Excellence Director role is responsible for optimizing and implementing business processes related to Pricing and Commercial Excellence that will drive growth in the Automotive Coatings SBU. The position reports to the Head of Strategic Marketing, Automotive Coatings. This position will ensure that the Pricing and CommEx teams act as a key connection point for the global Strategic Marketing and regional Commercial teams.

The Pricing and Commercial Excellence director has the following aim:

Lead the development, optimization, and implementation of all business practices related to Pricing and Commercial Excellence.

Key Focus:

• Work with global business leaders and sales to ensure that the regional opportunity pipelines support growth objectives and are aligned with segmentation strategies.
• Champion the deployment of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform as the "source of truth" for all pipeline health, opportunity capture, and revenue planning activities
• Drive the definition of and execution of pricing strategies by product and region based on product value propositions, market realities, and business financial objectives
• Provide direct linkage between the global Strategic Marketing team and the regional commercial teams
• Creating short term action plans to deliver on the global strategy, mobilizing cross functional teams to align and accelerate the focus areas.
• Leverage resources and gain support from key commercial and functional stakeholders to achieve team and business objectives.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and prior experience of working in B2B marketing and business.
• Marketing or Business Administration degree or equivalent
• 10 or more years of experience in Sales, Marketing, Pricing, or other business-related functions
• Highly effective communications skills (verbal and written)
• Solid business and commercial acumen and strategic thinking ability
• Excellent presentation and influencing skills, capable of driving change internally and externally
• Ability to work with a large degree of autonomy, capable of mobilizing actions and people across a global organization
• Experience working in a global business environment
• Ability to lead and successfully work with staff of different cultures and education
• Proven ability to achieve results both through influence as well as direct management of a team
• Ability to work with a wide group of people acting in a consultative way taking different views into account when building strategies and plans
