I. Major Responsibilities:

1. Uses assigned work queues and prioritization standards to performs daily tasks.
2. Triages all external and internal correspondence, and determines appropriate category for document indexing.
3. Uses tool to assistance in decision making and escalates issues as appropriate.
4. Prepares correspondence for scanning, following indexing guidelines.
5. Scans and retrieves documents, i.e., EOB, as requested.

II. Position Qualifications:

License/Certification/Education:

Required:
1. High School diploma.

Experience/Skills:

Required:
1. Ability to perform assigned tasks efficiently and in timely manner.
2. Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with people.
3. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
1. One or more years of experience in health care billing functions.

Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
