As an entry levelAnalytical Chemist, you will join PPG's Global Analytical Network as a member of the Molecular Spectroscopy team in our Material Science and Analytical Technology Department at PPG's Coatings Innovation Center, Allison Park, PA. Responsibilities will include the use of NMR, IR/NIR/Raman, and MS techniques and related instrumentation to help improve new product development, and perform testing for customer and manufacturing issues, and support regulatory requests. You will prepare samples, acquire data, write reports including analysis of the data, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.You will report to your Research Supervisor. Key Responsibilities Maintain a safe working environment and follow safety protocols. Operate NMR, IR/NIR/Raman, and MS and related instrumentation. Prepare samples, acquire data, document results. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment. Learn and become proficient in analytical capabilities, specifically data analysis for NMR, IR/NIR/Raman, and MS. Apply analytical chemistry knowledge to accelerate innovation and product development. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related 0+ years of related working experience. Previous experience with NMR, IR/NIR/Raman or MS. Travel - less than 10%.
