Job Summary

Under the Supervision of Plant Manager, will process gas orders in a safe and efficient manner for timely delivery to our customers. Must be able to work effectively in a team environment with a minimum of supervision and must maintain a positive working relationship with customers and employees.

Principal Responsibilities

Safety



  • Understand and adhere to company safe work policies.
  • Follow Lone Worker Requirements
  • Promote a safe work environment
  • Report safety incidents and near misses
  • Report any unsafe conditions, environmental concerns and process problems to management immediately
  • Contribute to the improvement of the Safety, Health, Environment and Quality programs
  • Apply the Hazardous Work Permit (HWP) process, Lock out, tag out (LOTO) as required for company and contractor personnel.



Reliability



  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (SAP PM) to execute, document and continuously improve equipment preventative and corrective maintenance strategy
  • Support Area Manager, Utilize intelex to execute, document all corrective actions issued to the site from Audits and Incidents review (when applicable)
  • Maintain plant spares inventory and raise gaps to management attention
  • Follow work instructions and annotate with feedback
  • Perform and document process and product analyzers calibration checks
  • Set up and safely operate all tools and equipment necessary to perform assigned work



Administrative and Managerial



  • Follow all Quality Control requirements to ensure a quality product is delivered to Messer's customers. Maintain open continuous line of communication with manager and Lead Helium Filler
  • Complete required HSEQ site and equipment inspection forms
  • Maintain orderly and clean work area and vehicle
  • Direct and monitor contractors
  • Maintain production logs, perform data entry into SAP system
  • Capable of safely filling high pressure cylinders and tube trailers
  • Capable of safely filling cryogenic products into dewars
  • Contribute to site security efforts through continuous observance of site security procedures
  • Safely and efficiently supervise and conduct plant start-up and shut- down operations in accordance with approved site work instructions
  • Attendance and contribution to site safety through participation in the Site Safety Committee and monthly site Operations Safety meetings
  • Maintain self-paced training progress via Traccess training program and achieve established training targets.
  • Perform other duties and tasks that are essential to the daily operations of the helium transfill
  • Schedule shipment of hazmat material, coordinate tube trailer shipments with distribution department



Qualifications:



  • High School Degree or GED, or certificate in a technical discipline or recent military training in a technical field, or 5 years equivalent experience in an industrial environment.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Valid driver's license with good driving record.
