Job Description Summary

This position is responsible for the supervision of the custodial department and all other cleaning services for all college maintained properties.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pay: $55,000.
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday (8:00am-5:00pm).
  • Leading the custodial team while primarily responsible for the quality and execution of each job.
  • Evaluate team members' work and participate with management regarding performance feedback and recommendations for advancement.
  • Provide training to new and experienced team members as needed.
  • Responsible for daily reporting from customer complaints to transportation issues.
  • The candidate must be flexible regarding work shifts and days off.
  • The ideal candidate will be comfortable in and contributes to a team effort.
  • Flexibility in duties, can and will change daily depending upon needs. This position will perform cleaning services work whenever if needed.
  • The ideal candidate will be focused on internal guests, listens to associate issues, suggests positive action, and will be self-motivated, able to multi-task, prioritize, and make solid decisions.
  • Responsible for performing all department administrative duties to include material ordering, supplies, timecard processing, Mix and use detergents and other cleaning solutions according to specifications.
  • Report repair needs, safety issues or other conditions
  • Requiring maintenance to the appropriate individuals.
  • Operate cleaning equipment including floor buffer, vacuum.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Five years of relevant work experience in the field of Facilities Management.
  • Computer literacy including working knowledge of MS Office suite programs.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to maintain effective relations with the customers, manager and fellow employees.
  • Have adequate trade knowledge to estimate labor hours and materials and to visualize the job to be performed.
  • Have good planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to understand what constitutes good instructions.
  • Able to read blueprints and shop drawings
  • Ability to follow and apply safe practices for job assignments and equipment used.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing 50 pounds.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
