Applications should include a cover letter, CV, a sample syllabus (upload as document #1), and a representative sample of teaching evaluations -3 page max (upload as document #2), and a portfolio with a statement of teaching methodology and philosophy (2 page max), including a discussion of the applicant's preferred textbook series for Modern Standard Arabic. We currently use Brustad et al., Al-Kitaab (without its colloquial dimension) for the three-year sequence of our Arabic minor and major BA program.
Applicants will also be asked to provide three contacts for three confidential letters of recommendation, at least one of which should address the candidate's teaching record, preferably from the candidate's principal teaching supervisor. Letters will be requested later in the search process.
