Clariant has an exciting opportunity for a Sales Manager to support the Adsorbents and Additives Business Unit. This role is fully remote. The primary responsibilities of this role are to drive sales growth, profitability, market share, and business development for the Edible Oils market segment in North America. Continuous effort, genuine interest in customer success, and a commitment to providing exceptional service are key elements in building and improving customer relationships. To be successful in this role, you must be a strategic thinker, a skilled communicator, and a natural leader with a strong commercial background in the Edible Oils industry or a related industry. This role requires 50% travel for customer visits and trade shows. Responsibilities

* Develop and implement effective sales strategies to improve edible oil sales and market share

* Conduct Sales and Operations meetings to forecast customer demands, ensure resources are effectively utilized, and maintain efficient and cost-effective operations

* Collaborate with the Supply Chain team to ensure production and order fulfilment are in line with customer expectations

* Lead customer allocations by aligning production, inventory, and distribution with expected demand

* Collaborate with Key Account Managers in other regions to discuss edible oils accounts, gather information, and share industry insights

* Suggest innovative ideas and options for product improvements based on the identified market and customer needs for application development

* Develop marketing material and attend tradeshows to network with potential customers, partners, and industry leaders

* Showcase compelling presentations and educational courses at tradeshows to capture the attention of attendees and encourage engagement

* Provide support and training for customer trials, engineering companies, and distributors with

* Collaborate with the Purification team to develop reports and presentations for customers to show value proposition and product performance

Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field

* 5+ years of commodity sales experience within the adsorbents and/or oil purification industries

* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Spanish is a plus

* Must be able to prepare and present effective presentations

* Must possess strong networking abilities to build relationships with clients, industry professionals, and other stakeholders

* Strong negotiation skills are essential for dealing with clients, closing deals, and collaborating with partners
