The DOM's Infectious Disease virology core lab is looking for a highly motivated ACTG processor who can start the position as soon as possible. Under the general supervision of the Principal Investigator/Supervisor, and in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures, conducts a variety of routine protocols where methodologies are clearly established. Routine tests may include receiving and processing specimens from participants in clinical studies, including separating plasma, cells, and serum; preparing cells for cryopreservation; establishing HIV-1 cultures at the Landsdowne Core Lab, in Cambridge, MA; learning how to store, generate labels, and record data in LDMS; review ACTG SOPs and documents for updated process; maintains specimen inventory in accordance with laboratory and processing procedures; routine communication with ACTG network and non-network groups and update the study information. This position may assist with other laboratory research projects as time and interest allow. A 2-year plus commitment is preferred.
