Description

Padagis is hiring for an Operations Director to provide leadership direction to our pharmaceutical production facility (manufacturing and packaging operations, to include: plant operations, production engineering, maintenance/calibration, and site EHS and CIE/technical operations), in New Hope, Minnesota (Minneapolis-St. Paul area).

Duties:



  • Manages all operations of the assigned pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging facilities, ensures that all operations comply with current Good Manufacturing Procedures, reviews and approves Standard Operating Procedures for plant operations and related functions, and monitors training and enforcement to ensure SOPs are followed.
  • Provides leadership in process improvement, working with engineers, supervisors, other production support staff and other departments to improve procedures and/or evaluate equipment.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and rules of conduct and addresses performance issues appropriately.
  • Directs R&D and technical operations support departments to ensure that new product developments and existing product improvements are ensured.
  • Develops staffing and cost proposals for the fiscal year and strategic planning cycle, monitors and controls costs and productivity throughout the year to ensure production goals are met.
  • Works with lead supervisors to monitors production schedules and adjust staffing to meet these schedules.
  • Provides leadership to safety efforts within the plant, monitoring safety performance and ensuring coaches provide appropriate training and direction to provide a safe working environment.
  • Directs engineering and maintenance resources to execute capital project, drive improvements, assure customer service, maintenance operations and facilities and maintain cGMP standards.
  • Monitors all training and provides development opportunities to plant staff and coaches.


Required qualifications:



  • Twelve or more (12+) years of increasingly responsible experience in a large corporate environment
  • Demonstrated success in overcoming business challenges
  • University Degree


Preferred qualifications:



  • Continuous Improvement experience
  • High-speed manufacturing experience
  • Demonstrated experience/skill in high accountability model
