Overview

The VDC Manager I is responsible leading and directing the day-to-day management of the VDC process and responsible for the execution of work associated with constructability development and coordination of the project documents for one or more projects.



Responsibilities

    Autonomous in leading project coordination on simultaneous projects
  • Develop project specific BIM Standards & Specifications (BS&S)
  • Draft project coordination schedule
  • Draft project coordination budget
  • Manage the daily coordination activities of a small team of VDC Engineers
  • Coach and develop VDC Engineers
  • Create and maintain comprehensive coordination documentation
  • Participates in sales strategy, pursuits, presentations, and winning work.
  • Lead 4-5 VDC deliverables at one time, including through the work of direct reports


Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

  • BA/BS/MS degree in Architecture, Engineering or BIM related specialties
  • 4-5 years of VDC Coordination experience
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong time-management and analytical skills
  • Expert user of BIM and design software (Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, In-design)
  • Firm understanding of complex design concepts and integrated building components and systems
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Ability to effectively delegate tasks to a small team of VDC Engineers
  • Ability to mentor and develop VDC Engineers
