Job Description
WANTED: We are looking for a Junior Financial Manager with demonstrated experience supporting DoD requirements to join our team in McLean, VA! As a Junior Financial Manager, you will:
- Support and prepare forecasts, analysis, and reconciliation of finance, business conditions, and other related areas.

A week in the life of a Junior Financial Manager:
- Meet with Program Management team to review, update, and report project financial performance (revenue, cost, margin)
- Interact with accounting on billing and revenue recognition during monthly close
- Prepare various project reporting requirements.
- Build and maintain financial databases, generate reports and documentation.
- Review monthly project costs and revenue, monitor actual cost performance against plans/budgets, prepare variance analysis and identify areas of improvements and continually update to meet the changing need of the client and program
- Monitor weekly labor charging.
- Maintain Employee Workforce in Costpoint; Communicate with employees on charge codes
- Ensure timecard corrections and cost reclasses are completed timely and accurately before month-end
- Update EAC monthly with actuals and updated ETC assumptions after reviewing PM
- Track project burn rates, forecast expected project burn against funding, and provide mitigation recommendations to PM as needed
- Monitor program margin and provide margin improvement recommendations to PM as needed
- Ensure project setup is complete and accurate to include ceilings and cost overrides
- Analyze program variances monthly and provide comments
- Provide ad hoc analysis and scenario modeling.
- Review and approve customer invoice.
- Perform actual to forecast and actual to budget analysis
- Provide monthly financial reporting and analysis as well as ad hoc reporting
- Prepare and submit purchase requisitions
- Provide support to tasks such as data entry, preparing reports, and assisting with presentations
- Prepare reports that detail business performance metrics.
- Support financial audits as needed
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's level degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration
- Have an active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance (US Citizenship).
At least 2+ years of experience in:
- Project, business, and financial management.
At least 1 year of experience in:
- Financial analysis for Federal government contracting
- Intermediate/Advanced in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint
- Experience with DELTEK, Costpoint, SharePoint, Earned Value Management System.

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
