We are looking for an organized, professional, technical individual to join asa Facilities Specialist. Our Facilities Specialist, primary focus, is managing the daily operations of the various building systems along with tracking and reporting on the systems. Facilities Specialist position is a multi-faceted role requiring the ability to quickly adapt to the needs of the business. They will perform and oversee the operations, inspections and repairs of facilities systems equipment including but not limited to; emergency power systems, electrical distribution, TS support equipment, fire detection/suppression, HVAC, and chilled water systems.

What does GTE look for in a Facilities Specialist?

  • Serve as first responder for repairs and employee needs. Furniture repair and relocation, lighting repairs, misc. painting, floor and ceiling system finish, plumbing and all other building related issues.
  • Perform adjustments to the building automation system. Track and trend utility consumption as related to the environment within the building. Track and report status of points and alarms.
  • Set up meeting and conference rooms in advance of scheduled meeting. Assist in setting up for special events on campus.
  • Assist and support the Administration team with ability to back up their roles in the credit union when needed.
  • Act as an ambassador between the Administration department and the Community Financial Centers along with other various departments.
  • Assist all areas of the credit union in budget preparation and the research that is necessary to provide solid and reliable numbers for all budgeted and non-budgeted needs.
  • Assures timely procurement of goods and services in order to keep the day-to-day operations running smoothly. Ability to adapt to changing environment and changed priorities as needed.
  • Ensures confidentiality of all information and transactions regarding the credit union, its members and its employees are held to the highest level of business ethics.
  • Supports "team" environment in the workplace as well as credit union management and the board of directors.

Operations:

  • Participate in credit union training and required testing. Support and encourage the credit union mission, vision, and brand promise.
  • For the purpose of achieving/exceeding organizational goals, it is the responsibility of each employee to strive for the continuous quality improvement of processes and service to internal and external customers/members.
  • Maintain effective communication with all Credit Union employees (internal customers) to ensure coordination and exchange of information for accomplishing organizational goals.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and works well independently.
  • Experience working with all levels of management.
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong business development and business networking skills specifically within the real estate and title closing industry.
  • Must demonstrate a functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act in addition to other Federal laws, including but not limited to U.S. Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets & Control, Anti-Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and the Bank Bribery Act
  • Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred technical certification is preferred.
  • Lift up to 75 pounds
  • Technical troubleshooting of BMS, Access control, and remote monitoring controls
  • Must be an active member of the Emergency Response Team during weather and disaster recovery events. (prevention, mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery participant)
  • Construction/ project supervision
  • Fluent in MS Suite
  • Minimum of five years of hands-on Facilities, Hospitality/ Hotel Mechanic, Technician Mechanical Service industry
  • Valid FL Driver's License in impeccable standing (no DUIs, major traffic violations)
  • Hands-on/ proven mechanical, electrical, patching/ painting, assembly of modular furniture, and plumbing
  • Experience working with all levels of management.

Position Details:

  • Location: Downtown Tampa - GTE Headquarters
  • Department Hours: Monday- Friday (8:00 am to 6:00 pm) // Saturday (9:00 am to 1:00 pm)
  • Full-time hours required, with additional hours as necessary to accomplish objectives, goals, and projects.
  • Work arrangement in-office (On-Call) may be changed at any time by management with appropriate notice if possible.
