Alcon is looking for a US Vision Care Strategic Insights Manager in Fort Worth, Texas.
- Serve as the strategic consumer / customer insights partner to USVC OTC business stakeholders, responsible for identifying priority business questions, and leveraging secondary data (e.g., IRI, Kantar) and primary research to feed into own analysis and actionable recommendations
- Collaborate effectively cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Business Analytics, with regular engagement to ensure strategic insights and secondary data reports are in their business plans, strategies, and fact books.
- Provide expertise, coaching, and training to cross-functional partners on how to effectively gather and interpret information from primary and secondary information sources for consumer, shopper and eye care professional insights.
- Lead advanced market research projects such as Marketing Mix, Match Panel Analysis, Market Structure, SKU Optimizations
- Manage brand health tracking, advertising testing, and brand perception KPI strategy for USVC OTC brands
- Organize secondary data into effective reporting tools in a format for USVC OTC leadership
- Design custom primary research to answer specific prioritized business questions
- Manage secondary and primary research budgets for USVC OTC brands and oversee vendor relationships, training, reporting systems, tools and insight development. Role also manages onsite contractors.
- Collaborate with global marketing peers to drive strong strategic alignment on data insights
- Support leadership through ad-hoc requests
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school+13yrs; Assoc.+9rs; M.S.+2yrs; PhD+0yrs)
The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
5 Years of Relevant Experience
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Prior marketing research and insights roles with experience with designing primary research and analyzing secondary data (e.g., Nielsen, IRI). Proven insights experience that delivers business results. Expert PowerPoint and Excel Skills.
Bachelor's degree in related field of study preferred (e.g., Marketing, Market Research, Business, Analytics).
Master's in Marketing, Analytics, or Business preferred.
Experience in B2C (consumer) and B2B (healthcare) primary and secondary data insights
A highly collaborative, effective partner who can influence through smart, thoughtful communication and execution
Know how to prioritize, challenge assumptions and be adaptive to change
Possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Customer-centric mindset with primary research and secondary data experience that leads to actionable insights that inform effective brand strategy and marketing plans
Excellent knowledge of marketing strategy and translating data into actionable marketing insights and strategy
Keen eye for data trends and the ability to investigate and articulate factors that may account for these trends
Travel: 30% domestic, 10% global
