Job Description
Work and train under medical supervision for a period of up to 1638 hours, or until registered by the BRPT or ABSM performing overnight polysomnograms and other complex procedures. Work in a busy Sleep Center while training closely with Registered Sleep Technologists and physicians that are board certified in Sleep Medicine. Minimum Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Must have completed either a STAR-designated Self-Study education program, or graduated from a CAAHEP or CoARC-accredited polysomnography education program.
  • Must successfully complete all requirements for registry exam and successfully obtain registry in polysomnography within 6 months.
  • Maintain BCLS for continued employment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications
  • RPSGT/RST eligible, CNA, PCT/A, RMA, CMA , NRCMA, CCMA or other BRPT Accepted Allied Health Credential
  • One or more years of clinical experience with direct patient care.
  • Experience in sleep data collection, CPAP titration and scoring and stage recognition.
  • MSLT and MWT experience.
