About the Role As the Data Services Manager at Brightly, you'll lead the transition and maintenance of next-generation data services, focusing on data extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) solutions. Reporting directly to the Director of Professional Services, you will spearhead the technical strategy and oversee a talented team of ETL engineers and technical consultants. Your primary goal will be to innovate and improve our data migration processes, primarily transitioning to AWS Glue, to enhance client experiences and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership: Set the technical direction for ETL development, championing the integration of disparate data processes into a unified, efficient framework using AWS Glue. Team Management: Lead a diverse team of ETL engineers and technical consultants, ensuring high standards of technical and soft skills are maintained. Focus on professional development and mentorship to foster a skilled and responsive team. Data Migration Excellence: Manage and enhance tools and processes for efficient data migration during software implementations, ensuring seamless integration of client data into Brightly's systems with high accuracy and minimal disruption. Process Improvement: Collaborate with Software Engineering and Product Management to drive enhancements in data migration tools and methodologies. Initiate process automations and improvements that benefit clients and streamline operations. Client Engagement: Provide expert pre-sales support, including custom data services quotes, and partner with Client Services to manage escalations and support implementation teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. 5+ years of experience in data/engineering services, with at least 2 years in a management or team lead role. Expertise in SQL scripting, database development, and managing MS/AWS environments. Proficient with ETL processes and relational database management systems, preferably Microsoft SQL Server. Experience with CRM and knowledge management software, preferably Salesforce and Confluence.

Proven leadership in developing ETL solutions and managing technical teams. Strong proficiency with AWS ETL tools (Glue, Lambda, Terraform) and advanced programming languages (SQL, Python). Excellent problem-solving abilities, client-facing communication skills, and project coordination.

. The pay range for this position is $108,900 - $186,600 and the annual incentive target is 15% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
