Stony Brook University: Provost Office: College of Arts & Sciences: Physics and Astronomy Location Stony Brook University - West Campus Open Date Sep 05, 2024 Deadline Oct 15, 2024 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time Description The Department of Physics & Astronomy (https://www.stonybrook.edu/commcms/physics/index.php) at Stony Brook University invites applications for two full-time lecturer positions for its undergraduate division with an expected start date in January 2025/Spring 2025 Semester. The Department benefits from its highly ranked faculty in research and teaching, excellent students, its close affiliation with experimental and theoretical research centers of international reputation, and its proximity to BNL. The successful candidate will demonstrate an excellent educational preparation (MA or MAT in Physics), a minimum of 2 years teaching experience at the High School or University level, and a strong commitment to educating and mentoring undergraduate physics students. The person holding this position will report to the Chair of the Physics and Astronomy Department. A Ph.D. in Physics or closely related discipline and an established teaching record as primary instructor in an undergraduate physics program I strongly preferred.
