Position Title: CNC Programmer - 1st Shift
Wage: $60,320 - $83,200/year Shift: 1st Hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm, With Some Flexibility / Overtime Feeling underpaid or undervalued? This could be the position that you deserve! CNC Programmer Responsibilities: - Read and understand blueprint designs - Set up machinery for production - Rework metal to create the blueprint design - Measure and verify calculations prior to setting up the machinery - Maintain clean and organized working environment - Complete routine maintenance of their machinery Requirements for CNC Programmer: - 3-5 years of experience in CNC machine operation - Bachelor's degree and 2 - 3 years of related experience; or an associate degree and 5 years of progressively responsible related experience or a combination of both - Broad knowledge of SolidWorks and Surfcam programming software - Knowledge of Coreldraw and KCam7 (laser software) beneficial - Understanding of "M" and "G" codes to specify the feed, speed, and cut of any toolpath for a CNCs - High level of computer literacy, to include Word, Excel and Outlook - Strong organizational and communication skills - Familiarity and skill with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints - Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems that arise - Ability to work independently and closely follow direction - Positive and professional attitude - Ability to work with others - Knowledge of CAD/CAM software QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the Midwest.
