Position Title: Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift Wage: $28.00 - $35.00/hour Shift: 2nd Are your skills not being fully utilized? Reach your maximum potential by working with QPS! QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Maintenance Technician at a company in Gurnee, IL. This is a direct hire position for 2nd shift. Apply now! Maintenance Technician Responsibilities: - Perform general maintenance projects, both preventative and emergency, including operation and testing of filling equipment, pumps, mixers, compressors, labelers and sleeving equipment - Assist in the development and administering of preventative maintenance schedule - In cooperation with the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Coordinator, update preventative maintenance checklists - Assist in the development of complete library of parts and operating manuals for equipment and plant - Manage maintenance tools and parts inventory - Recommend and cost equipment and parts to complete preventative maintenance projects - Operate heavy equipment including fork trucks - Operate of power tools including drills, saws and grinders Requirements for Maintenance Technician: - Flexible and adaptable with regards to performing a wide range of maintenance duties and functions - Demonstrable aptitude and experience in mechanical, electrical and pneumatic system repairs and maintenance - General math skills - Ability to communicate both verbally and written to both vendors and managers - General computer and email competency - Experience working with high-speed net weigh fillers, automated cappers, close tolerance gear driven pump fillers, pressure sensitive and auto sleeve labelers and printers, automated palletizing equipment, automated carton forming and case packing equipment highly desirable - Experience with 24 vdc low voltage, circuit boards and servo motors highly desirable Benefits: - Generous paid time off - Competitive salaries and bonus incentives - Competitive medical, dental, & vision insurance - Pet insurance - Annual fitness stipend - Unmatched employee discount on all products anike.bazua@qpsemployment.com QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the Midwest.
