Position Title: MIG Welder
Wage: $25-$29/hour Shift: 1st Hours: Monday-Friday, 6:30am-3pm QPS Employment Group is hiring MIG Welders at a company in Whitewater, WI. MIG Welder Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Use big wire (1/16" and 3/32") and then MIG weld, carbon arc gouge, and flame soften material to heat and shape raw material (heavy plates) like blacksmithing - Work as part of a broader team responsible for manufacturing plant designs, fabrication, assembly, and installing machines used in food processing - Read complex blueprints and apply relevant information to form sheet metal - Set up equipment and weld parts, using MIG, carbon arc gouging, and/or stick welding equipment - Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts - Examine welded components for defects; repair parts to ensure each meets our high standards MIG Welder Requirements: - High school diploma or general education degree (GED) - Demonstrate strong general mechanical skills - 2+ years of MIG welding experience, ideally gained in a smaller shop with multiple setups throughout the day - Able to read complex blueprints and manufacturing orders - Welder related experience preferred QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the Midwest.
