Position Title: Forklift Operator
Wage: $18.70/hour Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours: 7:00pm - 7:00am Gear up for an exciting opportunity! QPS Employment Group is searching for a Forklift Operator to join our client, a leading provider of marketing, packaging, print, and supply chain solutions in Elk Grove Village, IL. This isn't your average warehouse gig. Forklift Operator Responsibilities: - Complete company-provided training for powered industrial trucks - Drive forklift equipped with lifting devices such as fork-grapple, clamps, elevating platform or trailer hitch - Push, pull, lift, stack, tier or move raw paper materials, in-process products, finished products, equipment, or materials in warehouse, storage yard or factory - Move materials and equipment using an overhead rail crane or operate a rail car mover such as a track mobile - Load and unload semi-trailer trucks - Maintain accurate inventory and report any discrepancies - Load or unload materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device - Perform safety checks on lifts - Perform safety check and light maintenance as required - lubricate truck, recharge batteries, fill fuel tank, or replace the liquefied-gas tank - Perform inventory control, tracking and reporting inventory utilizing a materials management system - Organize and assign storage space utilized in warehousing and moving materials in the departments Requirements for Forklift Operator: - At least three years of experience operating a forklift with clamp attachments in a manufacturing or warehouse environment - Knowledge of safe operating procedures for power industrial trucks - Knowledge of weight capacities, balancing product and height thresholds - Experience relocating, picking material in narrow aisles, moving material up / down ramps, and unloading product from transportation vehicles schaumburg@qpsemployment.com IND133 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the Midwest.
