Diabetes Educator Nurse Clinician - Endocrinology Clinic
Overview Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-4:30p with rotating on-call weekends. FTE: 1.0 (40/hrs per week), Non-Exempt Minimum Pay Rate: $34/hr *Must obtain CDCES certification within 2 years. Resources provided. Provides nursing care and care coordination services for pediatric patients and their families. Fosters effective communication among health care professionals who provide nursing care to children with altered health states. Develops and implements educational programs for patients, parents and families, hospital staff, and community health personnel. Practices professional nursing and promotes patient advocacy in accordance with the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses. Maintains a current Ohio Nursing License. Why Nationwide Children's Hospital? Responsibilities * Provides nursing care using a Family Centered approach. Qualifications EDUCATION: BSN, required. EXPERIENCE: At least one year of nursing experience, pediatric preferred. LICENSURE: Licensed as a registered nurse in the State of Ohio, required. CERTIFICATION: Certified diabetes care and education specialist (CDCES) within two years of orientation, required.
