We are actively hiring a French Instructor to join our team working in the WMA. You will be responsible for supporting a government agency and your office with language instruction, translation, transcription, and/or interpretation services.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work 40 hours a week.
  • Linguist/Instructor will provide French training from ILR 0 to ILR 4 level, using published curriculum approved by component. Teach French classes to officers, including beginner, intermediate and advanced levels, based on mission need.
  • Develop lessons plans, homework requirements, progress checks and testing for classes to augments curriculum.
  • Hold daily office hours for language consultations with customer.
  • Provided limited one-on-one instructions monthly, when available.
  • Work under the direction of experienced senior trained instructors.
  • Instructors are required to complete specific sponsor training on teaching mission-focused foreign language skills and conducting foreign language testing in order to become certified according to Sponsor standards.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Education or Language preferred
  • Language Instruction/Facilitation
  • Language Testing
  • Interpretation, translation, and transcription
  • Summarizing/Gisting while drawing upon linguistic or cultural expertise
