Coke Florida is looking for a Transportation Manager based out of our Orlando location. This will primarily be a 1st shift role, working Monday-Friday, with weekends required as needed.

What You Will Do:

The Transportation Manager is responsible for supervision of four transportation supervisors, warehouse location, and all related activities. This will include supervising employee performance, allocating driver assignments and ensuring compliance and safety standards. This leader will also manage and detail activities and schedules of employees who report to them.

Roles and Responsibilities:



  • Ensure/manage replenishment distribution is effective and productive





  • Review,monitorand address full good inventory levels to minimize potential out of stock risk to sales





  • Ensure all associates are following and documenting all safety related issues and trainings





  • Work with Planning and Transportation Team to schedule and prioritize product replenishments (Standard Transportation Orders)





  • Create and prioritize product replenishments (Inbound Transfers)





  • Ensure the management of inventory levels to plan atthird partywarehouses





  • Train, develop and monitor Transportation supervisors





  • Maintain maximum/optimum fleet utilization





  • Labor planning and utilization of the Transportation Department





  • Participate with leadership for planning scheduling and forecasting of staffing requirements





  • Ensure operational compliance with D.O.T compliance for Transportation Drivers





  • Facilitate Monthly Safety Training for Transportation supervisors and their direct reports





  • Optimize Shipping, Receiving and Transportation departments





  • Ensure that daily reports are generated, reviewed and filed.





  • Other duties as assigned by Plant Manager



For this role, you will need:



  • High School Diploma or GED required





  • Bachelor's degree preferred





  • Transportation and/or Logistics Supervisory experience in direct delivery sales or beverage industry highly preferred





  • Experience in a Manufacturing Environment preferred





  • Good analytical, verbal, written, presentation and communication skills





  • Excellent documentation skills





  • 3+ years in Supply Chain/Logistics environment





  • Ability to think strategically withhighlevel of patience in dealing with critical situations





  • Previous experience in Replenishment Planning/Distribution is preferred





  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees





  • Ability to interact/communicate successfully with personnel at all levels





  • Ability to supervise and motivate employees





  • Ability to develop and implement process improvement





  • Proficient PC skills to include SAP, Excel and Word





  • Schedule: First Shift (6AM start), but will have direct reports on multiple shifts
