Job Description

The Department of Statistics at the University of Missouri invites applications for a tenure track Assistant/Associate Professor position. We seek creative statisticians with an interest in developing novel methodology that complements our strengths in spatial and spate-temporal statistics, AI, and data science with substantive application interests (e.g., biostatistics, climate science, environmental and ecological statistics, official statistics, etc.). Excellent candidates in any field of statistical research will be given full consideration. Candidates should have a strong methodological foundation and have a demonstrated commitment to creating innovative approaches, theoretically sound methodology, and computational tools, and evidence of (or potential for) obtaining federal funding for their research.

Qualifications

A doctorate in statistics or biostatistics or related field by time of appointment, is required. Candidates will be evaluated on their research potential, teaching experience, and communication skills.
