Mirion Technologies Secure Integrated Solutions (SIS) is seeking a Director of Project Engineering. In this role you will deliver SIS project plans and deliverables to meet SIS project commitments. This role also manages the project engineering organization consisting of PELs, Software Integration, Test Engineering, Hardware Integration, and Cyber Security Engineering. In short, you will be directly responsible for the technical execution of the SIS projects.

Job responsibilities for this position include:



  • Provide leadership, guidance, and training to the SIS organization.
  • Lead operational efficiency improvements for SIS project engineering team and wider SIS organization.
  • Ensure all Mirion/SIS Quality Management System and Engineering policies and procedures are followed.
  • Own and maintain The SIS Standard Engineering Process (TSSEP) quality procedure, related work instructions, and checklists.
  • Ensure delivery of SIS technical project commitments through organizational risk management, process guidance, conflict resolution, and operational excellence.
  • Monitor SIS project schedules and budgets to ensure sufficient forecasts, adequate resource assignments, and corrective action plans are in place.
  • Support and contribute to Mirion Business System activities applicable to SIS.
  • Contribute to SIS Roadmap program to ensure alignment with SIS projects.
  • Support Business Development pursuits and opportunities, as needed.
  • Provide technical, commercial, and program execution review to all large SIS proposals in alignment with SIS Check Point process and Engineering Proposal process.
  • Provide continuous support of SIS projects, internal and external, with adequate engineering staffing and skill set to meet SIS project commitments.
  • Deconflict escalated business priority conflicts for engineering resources.
  • Deliver high-quality SIS project deliverables to meet project schedules and requirements.
  • Coordinate with SIS Engineering Manager(s) and Director(s) for knowledge management, information sharing, and ensuring consistency of engineering processes and solutions across the entire organization.



Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline.
  • Ten (10) or more years of engineering experience in software/systems engineering, including all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Experience in direct management of employees.
  • Ability to manage technical capabilities, including resources in a specific area, processes and tools of the overall Engineering Department.
  • Ability to influence, inspire, and motivate all team members.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter with ability to learn new products and skills as needed.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally and diplomatically with a variety of co-workers and customers.
  • Experience working within a formal system engineering process-driven environment.



Additional Desired Qualifications:



  • Master's degree or equivalent.
  • Experience with SCADA systems.
  • Experience working in the nuclear power generation security industry.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, CSEP, CISSP, or similar.
