Job Description

The Orlando, FL office of Dewberry is seeking an Entry Level Engineer for its Traffic Engineering Department. Candidates who are eager to learn will perform Traffic Studies, Traffic Analyses and Traffic Engineering tasks such as Traffic Signal design following state and municipal design standards and practices.

Responsibilities

    Perform field investigations
  • Analyze traffic data
  • Prepare traffic reports
  • Design Traffic Signals and signal timings per agency standards
  • Prepare Traffic Signal plans
  • Utilize the MUTCD and agency design standards to develop intersection signing & striping plans
  • Coordinate with other disciplines during the design process


Required Skills & Required Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is preferred.
  • Ideal candidate will have interest in traffic analysis.
  • Familiarity with Excel spreadsheets.
  • Familiarity with traffic design software a plus but not required.
  • Familiarity with ITS technologies and wireless communications is a plus.
  • Familiarity with highway projects preferred but not required.
