Overview Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is an independent, nonprofit organization providing adult cancer treatment and groundbreaking research focused on cancer and infectious diseases. Based in Seattle, Fred Hutch is the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in Washington. With a track record of global leadership in bone marrow transplantation, HIV/AIDS prevention, immunotherapy and COVID-19 vaccines, Fred Hutch has earned a reputation as one of the world's leading cancer, infectious disease and biomedical research centers. Fred Hutch operates eight clinical care sites that provide medical oncology, infusion, radiation, proton therapy and related services, and network affiliations with hospitals in five states. Spiritual Health at the Fred Hutch Cancer Center (Fred Hutch) provides relationally-grounded, outcomes-oriented, and research-informed chaplaincy care to culturally and spiritually diverse patients, family, and staff/volunteers, both inpatient (at UWMC) and outpatient (at South Lake Union and multiple community sites). Spiritual Health embraces continuous quality improvement, a culture of learning and engagement, and being a leader in oncology and outpatient care. The department is engaged in clinical care, education, and research. The person selected for this position will be available for all campuses, especially at South Lake Union (SLU) and the University of Washington Medical Center (UW).
Provide spiritual, religious, existential, and emotional care to patients/families at all sites of care
Responsibilities The clinical responsibilities are engaged in patient/caregiver and staff care. The successful candidate will be joining a team of spiritual health clinicians and will collaborate closely with Spiritual Health team members, multidisciplinary teams, and the UW Spiritual Care and Wellbeing team. The hourly pay range for this position is from $39.56 to $59.34, which includes the per diem differential, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
