Provides a wide variety of administrative functions related to oversight of several designated cancer programs throughout the Northside Hospital Cancer Institute. Serves as a departmental and organizational lead in area(s) of expertise and provides educational programming and staff development to oncology social workers and staff assigned to the specialty area. Provides leadership and guidance to maintain compliance in Psychosocial Oncology specialty. Serves as a Liaison to Psych-Oncology Leadership while in collaboration with Oncology Leadership. Oversees areas of compliance with documentation and clinical care delivery for regulatory standards regarding COC and TJC compliance. Responsible for direct patient care by providing psychological and social work interventions to center's patients, families, and significant others. These services have been developed to remove any psychosocial barriers, which inhibit the treatment process. Provides support services to patients in order to meet the individual needs of the patients, to coordinate treatment, to assist the client with achieving the best possible functional level, to maximize symptom self-management and to enhancing quality of life and recovery. Provides leadership to crisis intervention, distress screening, risk assessments and connect patients to community resources.

South will cover Fayetteville, Stockbridge, Lake Oconee, Milledgeville, Macon, Hawkinsville, Griffin

REQUIRED:
1. Master's degree from an accredited program in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related mental health discipline with an emphasis on clinical experience.
2. Licensed as a LCSW or LPC as relevant OR Georgia Licensure must be obtained within 4 months of hire.
3. Three years previous psych oncology or psychosocial practice experience.
4. Ability to develop, organize and implement various programs.
5. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
6. Evidence of an ability to work well with others, a team player.
7. Evidence of teaching skills.
8. Must be CPR certified.
PREFERRED:
1. Prior clinical experience providing outpatient mental health or inpatient psychiatric services.
2. Specialized training in cancer care through continued education and on the job experience.
3. Previous experience in staff development.
