Position Description/Responsibilities:
* Reports directly to the Program Manager and may act as the Deputy Program Manager at the Program Manager's discretion
* Assists the Program Manager in directing the overall maintenance effort to ensure mission capable aircraft in the quantities
necessary to execute contract requirements are available to the customer.
* Helps to enforce strict adherence to technical data, management procedures and company policy.
* Knows, understands, and complies with the requirements outlined in the Performance Work Statement.
* Supports the Program Manager by ensuring aircraft and equipment forms and MIS documentation are completed, accurate
and accomplished. Ensuring aircraft status is accurately reflected in both the maintenance forms and the MIS.
* Collaborates with the Program Manager in developing and executing the monthly maintenance schedules/plans.
* Aids the Program Manager with the maintenance production effort by assigning priorities to maintenance schedules.
* May attend maintenance production/scheduling meetings.
* Fully understand and be prepared to implement specific disaster control plans pertaining to aircraft/SE movement and
personnel evacuation with the Program Manager's authority.
* Authorize CANN actions; verify MICAP conditions exist.
* Assists the Program Manager to ensure that the contract is executed in a safe and efficient manner acceptable to the
Government.
* Demonstrates a continuous effort to suggest improvements to the Program Manager for operations, streamlining processes
and reducing costs and/or labor hours and enhancing operations.
* May delegates the necessary authority to managers, supervisors, leads and mechanics/technicians/specialists for support and
production to perform all contract requirements with the Program Manager's concurrence.
* Monitors attendance, approves timecards, assigns overtime as delineated by the Program Manager.
* Assists the Program Manager by providing guidance for workforce management on matters pertaining to employee hiring,
termination, transfer, evaluation, training and disciplinary actions.
* In collaboration with the Program Manager, responsible for the safety and security of employees, facilities, equipment,
classified information and material.
* Supports the Program Manager by applying Company policy and procedures, in compliance with the Collective Bargaining
Unit (CBA), pertaining to the promotion, training, discipline, and termination of employees.
* Aids the Program Manager in ensuring employees possess the qualifications and certifications necessary to perform their jobs.
* Continuously interfaces and coordinates with Program Manager and Quality Assurance Manager to assist with overseeing all
aspects of maintenance and mission support.
Qualifications:
* High School or equivalent required, Bachelor degree in related field preferred.
* Must speak, read, write, and understand English.
* Minimum 10 years hands on aircraft maintenance experience with at least 4 years supervisory experience and 3
years aircraft quality control experience.
* Must be able to work day shift, night shift or weekend duty and travel as part of a maintenance recovery team as required.
* Must always interact with the customer and M1 employees in a courteous, professional and effective manner.
* Must be completely reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining a
professional and non-confrontational attitude.
* Working knowledge of aircraft systems principles, concepts and applications of maintenance directives, data reporting, and
using technical data is mandatory.
* Must have a working knowledge of computers (input/extract data) and basic computer software programs such as Work,
Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
* Must obtain/maintain a security clearance in accordance with contract requirements.
* Must be a US citizen with current valid US Driver's license.
Qualifications Continued:
* Must be able to move about both inside aircraft hangars and outside on aircraft ramps within a close proximity of running
equipment and aircraft.
* Must fully understand organizational quality management processes and effective unit-level application.
