Pay rate: $25 - $38 per hour

Maintenance Technician responsibilities:



  • Adheres to all safety guidelines, including OSHA regulations and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
  • Performs regular equipment checks, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
  • Conducts inspections and evaluations of operating equipment, performing preventative maintenance and diagnosing malfunctions.
  • Repairs and maintains various systems, such as transformers, motors, dock equipment, building lighting, and electrical controls.
  • Handles administrative tasks like parts ordering, vendor management, and documentation of work results in the CMMS.
  • Communicates effectively with coworkers and customers, providing updates on work status and completion timelines.
  • May oversee maintenance projects, including complex equipment repairs and coordination with subcontractors.


Qualifications:



  • Requires a high school diploma (or equivalent), preference for candidates with some undergraduate business or trade school training.
  • At least 4 years of experience or training in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or carpentry skills; equivalent education and maintenance experience may be considered.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, forklift operator's license, and JLG operator's license.
  • Strong ability to interpret written, oral, and graphic instructions, including safety rules and maintenance manuals, proficient in MS Word, email management, and maintenance software.
  • Capable of writing reports, managing correspondence, and effectively speaking to groups of customers or employees.
