Great Plains Surgical is a Medical Device Distributor with the mission to provide the best medical products and services with the greatest value for our hospitals, ASC, pain management clinics and patients.
**Candidates must live in Kansas City (or surrounding area) to be considered for the position.
Culture: Sales consultants are required to run their territory and products as their own business. Those working at Great Plains Surgical have to know their respective products inside and out as well as be prepared to demonstrate how the features unique to their products are beneficial to their customers. Only candidates located in Kansas will be considered for this position.

Job Summary:
This entry level sales opportunity will focus solely on our OrthoScan Imaging product line. The role will include, but not limited to supporting our current customers, demonstrating our equipment in live surgeries, cold calling on hospitals, surgery centers, and doctor offices, all while uncovering new opportunities. All activity and updates will need to be inputted into our CRM (customer resource management) in an accurate and timely manner.
There is no micromanagement for those that do their job well and are out everyday hustling and selling. We believe each sales agent should understand their job responsibilities and the equipment they sell. The expectation is that each person will go above and beyond providing the best customer service possible, including meeting sales goals set by both OrthoScan and Great Plains Surgical.
Position: Sales Consultant will grow (and maintain) the OrthoScan install base within the territory.
Travel:
This position requires roughly 75% travel with regular overnight/multiple day trips throughout the territory. The territory is comprised with Kansas, Missouri, Southern Illinois, and Iowa. There will also be opportunities to expand into Nebraska. The OrthoScan and Great Plains Surgical teams will assist in travel planning so your time on the road is maximized. This position will have rules and restrictions regarding expense reimbursement and will need to abide to the policy out in place.
Minimum Qualifications:


  • Resilient with the fact we might hear "no" 10x before we hear "yes"
  • Out of the Box thinker
  • Process oriented with the ability to consistently learn and teach yourself new surgical processes and protocols.
  • Able to manage a long sales cycle for some accounts and short cycle on others.
  • There are a lot of leads that come from the corporate, but ultimately, you are responsible for finding leads.
