Summary: This position handles calls for a three-campus hospital and operates a telephone console to relay incoming, outgoing and inter-office calls as well as performing other related hospital communication and clerical duties. Responsible for providing supportive informational services to the public, all staff, patients, their families and visitors. Responsible for notifying the nursing staff to fill patient service request via Nurse Call System. Must respond to all emergencies, equipment failure, codes, fire, traumas, stats and various alarms. Assist Lead Operator with training of staff. Update and maintain information used by Telephone Operators as it is received. Maintain various records and logbooks. This position requires the ability to read, understand and communicate orally in English. Job Specifics: Part time/Rotating shifts when needed on all shifts 1st shift: (7a-3:30p) 2nd shift(3p-11p) 3rd shift (11p - 7a)
