SEEKING READYMIX DRIVERS FOR OUR Waco and McGregor Plants. Drivers are responsible for providing products and delivery services in a safe and timely manner to all our customers and construction sites.
Minimum Qualifications:

-Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.
-Must meet Knife River-South employment standards with regards to background/MVR checks.
-Must be able to work overtime and be flexible with hours (daytime/nighttime).
- Ability to work outside in all seasons.
- Must have a "safety first" attitude. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures is required.
- Class B CDL license or higher is required
- Ready Mix Truck driving experience is preferred but will train.
- Must be able to lift, climb and stoop multiple time throughout the day.


Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Operate truck equipped with auxiliary concrete mixer to deliver concrete mix to job sites.
2. Maneuver truck under loading hopper and assures all materials can be loaded properly without any waste.
3. Read and follow directions to deliver concrete to locations given by dispatch.
4. Operate levers on truck to release concrete down truck chute into pump, wheelbarrow or other conveying container or directly into area to be poured with concrete.
5. Clean truck after delivery to prevent concrete from hardening in mixer and on truck, using water hose and chute scraper.
6. May spray surfaces on truck with protective compound to prevent adhering to concrete. May assemble cement chutes.
7. Operate trucks including ready mix, septic, block and aggregate materials.
8. Perform daily truck inspections and report needed repairs to ensure safe travel and a good quality product.
9. Daily maintenance of equipment is required.
10. Recognize surroundings and practice traffic awareness to maintain a safe environment.
11. Clean and maintain truck daily.
12. Ensure concrete arrives with proper slump to every delivery.
13. Add value-added supplies, such as fibers, accelerators, color as needed.
14. Make contact with customer on job site for unloading instructions and secure signature on load invoice.
15. Adjust moisture to contractor's requirements and note changes made to the product and any weather and environmental conditions on the load ticket for quality assurance.
16. Ensure proper use of truck tracking software.
17. Be able to work without direct supervision.
18. Report information accurately on daily timecards and other needed paperwork.
19. Maintain clean truck cab and perform daily housekeeping in truck cab.
20. Ensure OSHA, DOT, EPA, DNR, MSHA, Federal, State, and Local safety and environmental regulation compliance including attending training.
21. Perform other duties as assigned.
