Position Summary

The Hospital Recruitment Liaison position is primarily responsible for strengthening select hospital partnerships and engaging with patient families impacted by blood donation to help grow blood donation collections. This includes partnering with Manager, Donor Recruitment as well as Account Representatives in support of organizational growth goals and collaborating cross-functionally to engage at the hospital system level.


Responsibilities

    Develops and maintains relationships with key hospital system account points of contact, ie senior stakeholders and influencers in decision making within the hospital

  • Networks within hospital system and patient network to add new and improve existing blood drive opportunities
  • Instrumental in strategy development to grow blood collections with our communities in partnership with our hospitals
  • Develop, conduct, participate in events/community activities to create awareness and educate need for blood donation
  • Works with marketing colleagues to identify successful tactics and campaign development for engagement within our patient families and hospital partners
  • Secures opportunities for public speaking to grow recognition of blood donation needs
  • Identify success factors for hospital blood drive programs to replicate across our footprint
  • Partner with PR, Field Marketing, Donor Recruitment, Donor Service Teams for blood program strategy and planning
  • Lead meetings with both internal and external influencers as it relates to growing hospital partnerships
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal Versiti teams who interface with our hospital partners
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification
  • Understands and performs in accordance with all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Complies with all standard operating policies and procedures


Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in life sciences, healthcare, or related field required
  • High School Diploma plus an additional 4 years (8 overall) experience in healthcare, relationship management, account management, sales, or related field experience in lieu of required degree
Experience
  • 4-6 years Relationship management, account management, sales or related field experience required

  • Ability to be resourceful, flexible, adaptable; possess excellent problem solving skills required

  • Skilled in persuasive communication, ability to be direct in a respectful manner with strong customer service and relationship building skill to work in partnership with various levels of hospital staff and community organizations required
  • Excellent ability to communicate, encompassing written, verbal and presentation abilities required
  • Ability to interpret data, compile, prepare and lead for review with stakeholders required
