We are seeking a Child Development Coach who will be responsible for supporting teachers by providing ongoing professional development, building their teaching skills and assisting them in applying new knowledge. This is not a remote position, requires being on site in Massachusetts.

Duties and Responsibilities include:



  • Support classroom staff in implementing the Early Learning Program philosophy, vision and policy and procedures;
  • Coach, consult and model for classrooms, teachers and home visitors in assigned programs as needed; conduct individual child observations for the purpose of gathering data to support the development of curriculum and/or behavioral plans;
  • Ensure and support the implementation of curriculum and/or behavioral plans through ongoing observation and collaboration with staff/families and provide consultation and recommendations to teachers and center management regarding classroom learning environments, routines and activities.
  • Integrate a DE&I lens in all activities, encourage colleagues to engage in DE&I work, and contribute to our mission of building a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive organization for our employees, clients, and partners; requires ongoing investment in a personal and professional journey to understand identity and address unconscious bias, power, and privilege.


Qualifications include:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required.
  • Master's Degree Preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience working with young children in a classroom setting.
  • Knowledge/experience implementing the CSEFEL Pyramid Model preferred.
  • Training and/or Experience in Coaching Practices.
  • Experience working with low income, culturally diverse, and at-risk families and individuals.
  • Excellent customer service, organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members and community partners.
  • Proficient computer skills required in basic computer software and data collection systems.
  • Excellent crisis management skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively with and meet the needs of people from a diverse range of backgrounds, cultures, and identities, including underserved communities and people from the different racial groups, socioeconomic statuses, nationalities, and languages that make up CTI's clientele
  • Bilingual skills (English, Spanish, Khmer, Portuguese) preferred.
  • Early Education and Care (EEC) Infant/Toddler and/or Preschool Teacher Certification required.
