Training Coordinator - Apex, NC

The Blueprint (Profile)

The Training Coordinator position will enhance the competencies of our distribution center associates by designing, administering, and conducting training programs to successfully onboard associates and improve performance. Additionally, s/he will also assist in completing administrative tasks related to the Human Resources department, such as recordkeeping requirements.

The Build (Responsibilities)

* Regularly evaluates production positions to understand role requirements, becoming a subject matter expert capable and willing of onboarding, training, and bringing others to a level of competence

* Designs, creates, and conducts a portfolio of training programs designed to onboard and bring associates to a level of competence, and also conducting training courses designed for associate advancement

* Drafts, maintains, and revises standard operating procedures for all production areas, defining the duties and responsibilities of each job in a step-by-step format for normal, daily, weekly and monthly tasks

* Maintains weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual training records and requirements, using ATG digital training tracking software; responsible for meeting annual training hour requirements

* Develops a network of trainers throughout the facility to aid in successful handoff from new hire orientation and onboarding to respective work areas, facilitating training follows up as necessary

* Audits and evaluates training programs by conducting gap analyses of classroom, on-the-job, and training courses; proactively revises training as needed to support operational performance

* Coordinates and facilitates onboarding of new associates in partnership with Safety and HR

The Toolbox (Qualifications)

* Bachelor's degree in a business or engineering related discipline; four years' relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree

* Previous experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment with experience designing, developing, and administering training of new and current associates to develop competence

* Ability to design, develop, and revise training materials using Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Word and PowerPoint to create training guides, handouts, and presentation material

* Understanding or willingness to learn instructional design techniques to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of training programs for a wide range of skill sets and audiences
