LOCATION: Colorado Springs, CO
SUMMARY: The Acquisition Analyst will support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) with development and analysis of programmatic data for program management support, to include monitoring and reporting against the acquisition program baselines, to include assistance with program oversight and execution briefings. Alternative responsibilities may encompass development and execution of acquisition strategies/plans, contract requirements packages, and supporting prime contract monitoring/management activities.

- Supporting the initiation, formation, management and administration of acquisition teams
- Conducting market research to identify potential vendors and supporting the development of sources sought RFI's
- Assisting in acquisition strategies and preparing materials for Acquisition Strategy Board/Panel reviews and approvals
- Preparing acquisition plans, justifications, determinations and source selection plans
- Building contract requirements packages including statements of work, contract data requirements lists, specifications, fee plans, and other acquisition documents
- Reviewing requests for proposals and supporting preparation for OSD Peer Reviews
- Conducting technical evaluations of proposals
- Preparing acquisition announcements, public releases and Congressional notifications
- Supporting contract administration activities such as change orders, task orders, property documentation and modifications
- Preparing acquisition reviews, reports and artifacts for MDA and OSD level reviews
- Supporting the oversight and management of MDA's Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- BA/BS in related field with 5 years relevant experience; MA/MS, CAPM, PMP or DAWIA Level II certification may substitute for 3 years of experience
- 5+ years directly supporting a Federal Acquisition program(s) as an acquisition/program analyst overseeing cost, schedule, and performance
- Ability to prepare acquisition strategy for an Acquisition Strategy Panel and Acquisition Strategy Board or equivalent
- Ability to review, process, and formulate strategy products
- Ability to draft acquisition products, i.e. Inter-Agency Acquisition Requirements (IAR), i.e. briefings, MOAs, and IAR Support Agreements desired
- Ability to draft Acquisition program correspondence/status reports, i.e. memorandums, EXSUMs, white papers, and Ad Hoc reports
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment
- Must have proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, CLEARANCE:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance (U.S. Citizenship)
- Active DoD Secret clearance desired

- Must be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
- Most positions require ability to work on desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and providing recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format.
