CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking an Engineering Designer II to join our Electric Transmission Team based in Reading, PA. We welcome applicants interested in a hybrid schedule working both from home and in-office.

Your Impact

CHA's experts have decades of experience planning, designing, and permitting electrical power delivery infrastructure, including overhead and underground transmission lines and substations. We've designed hundreds of transmission, distribution, and customer-owned substations and switching stations (15kV up to 300 MVA transmission stations). We've also designed mobile transformers and substations up to 25 MVA and 161kV.

At CHA, the Engineering Designer II will use their knowledge of electrical engineering to assist with the research, preparation, and production of various types of construction drawings and documents. The right candidate will be a detail-oriented problem solver with strong verbal and written communication skills who enjoys learning new concepts and working in a collaborative team environment.

Requirements



  • Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Engineering Science or related technical field is required
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience of document production experience in the related engineering discipline
  • Proficient with electrical design-oriented software such as AutoCAD and MicroStation
