The Department of Africana Studies at Georgia State University is dedicated to preserving, fostering, and expanding the interdisciplinary study of Black people and all those of African descent. The Department of Africana Studies is seeking to hire a part-time Project Manager (Temp). We are seeking a professional project manager, preferably with specific arts management experience. Applicants with general project management skills are welcome to apply.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

This position will provide support for a collaborative photography exhibition project based in the Department of Africana Studies at Georgia State University.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:



  • Setting timelines and a team workplan
  • Organizing meetings and team communications
  • Exhibition logistics

    • Permissions communications
    • Researching necessary services
    • Communications with exhibition sites


  • Documentation: maintaining meeting minutes
