Overview

Quality Coordinator, Hem/Onc/BMT

Shift: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p with eventual possibility of working 1 day at home

Status: 1.0, 40 hours/week

Experience: Bachelor's degree required.

Develops, implements and coordinates effective systems to evaluate and improve patient outcomes and quality care; provides leadership in the areas of continuous quality improvement and TJC/ODH standards and supports the philosophy and mission of NCH by leading the performance improvements linked to NCH?s strategic plan.



Responsibilities

    Collaborates with Division Quality leadership to design and conduct QI activities to meet department, division, and hospital goals.
  1. Participates in on-going evaluations of quality development strategies and follows the IHI model for improvement work.
  2. Assists in performing quality reviews and audits to assess program compliance and outcomes.
  3. Maintains working knowledge of FACT standards and requirements and helps ensure compliance and understanding throughout the program.
  4. Assists in document control practices, including CPG/SOP reviews and revisions.
  5. Facilitates and provides support in problem resolution related to quality outcomes functions and projects.
  6. Communicates improvements in the quality of care and other QI accomplishments through professional presentations as applicable.
  7. Maintains currency of knowledge and skills related to continuous QI through review of relevant peer reviewed publications, conferences, networking, coursework, or independent study.
  8. Promotes generalizable QI skills to clinical and support staff. Facilitates data analysis and statistical interpretations.
  9. Performs other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE , SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, health, science or business-related field, or equivalent experience required.
  2. Three years of experience as a clinician in a hospital setting, preferred.
  3. Two years of experience in the quality management field, preferred.
  4. Management or project leadership experience, preferred.
  5. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills necessary to present and communicate important information effectively to all levels of hospital staff.
  6. Effective presentation skills and the ability to analyze and interpret statistical data.
  7. MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
